Belonging and learning through Bread – Bread for Intercultural Communication
Project period: 1.01 – 30.09.2021
Our project was built around a bread baking activity with the aim to raise awareness and communication between different cultures. The participants, young people aged between 11 and 19 years old, represented multiple cultures, a large number of which were Russian and Estonian, students at TKG and Suvemäe, as well as from other schools. Apart from these two groups, we had an international community, consisting of Ukrainian, Moldovan, Indian, Argentinian, Brazilian and Dutch participants.
The preparatory visit took place on February 8. The main activity was organized between 17 and 22 of August in Tallinn and in Kloogaranna.
The project was implemented by Suvemäe, the Democratic branch of TKG, with the financial support of the Youth and Education Board – Harno.
